Please comment on the Burbank – Los Angeles high-speed rail EIS
The California High Speed Rail Authority is seeking comments on the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Burbank – Los Angeles segment of the San Francisco – Los Angeles high-speed line.
This segment is key to achieving a 3-hour or less trip time between San Francisco and LA while connecting hundreds of cities in California with fast, frequent and affordable trains.
This project will have national impact as it demonstrates how to build new electrified tracks through an urban corridor.
The Burbank airport station will be built under a new terminal and transit center. Two new electrified tracks will be built alongside Metrolink-owned tracks from there to Los Angeles Union Station. Union Station is being expanded for high-speed trains in a separate project.
The Authority will be hosting a telephone town hall on August 19, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Then, the comment period will end August 31.
Please make comments in favor of this important project.
