Wisconsin sits before a generational opportunity for economic growth.
As a critical economic powerhouse of the Midwest, Wisconsin deserves high-speed and regional rail—but a lack of state investment stands in the way.
Email your legislators and Gov. Tony Evers that it’s time for Wisconsin to start thinking big about passenger rail.
A robust network of fast, frequent, and affordable trains would support the state’s goals in becoming a competitive force in the global economic market. Getting there will require a statewide effort to:
- Fund engineering work in the upcoming 2027-2029 state budget
- Develop an aggressive, long-term state passenger rail plan
- Increase investment for passenger rail in the upcoming federal surface transportation program. The current program expires on September 30, 2026—and reauthorization is already underway.
Please tell your elected officials in Madison to take action and get this important work done.
