Boston to New York In Under 2 Hours

The newly formed Northeast High-Speed Rail Coalition launched this week with a conference focused on promoting a high-speed line from Boston to New York City via Springfield, Hartford, and Long Island. The trip would take about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The Acela Express currently offers the fastest rail trip on that route at 3 and a half hours.

Dallas to Houston High Speed Rail Moves Forward

Making Chicago – St. Louis Trains Competitive

The 300-mile Chicago-St. Louis corridor is a great candidate for high-speed rail.

The two cities are roughly the same size and distance apart as Paris and Lyon, which was the first high-speed rail corridor in Europe. And the route runs through a single state (Illinois) that already invests substantially in passenger rail. This means a Chicago-St. Louis line is the easiest first link to build in what will become a regional HSR network.
