Brown Bag Lunch: Brightline’s Vision for Train Travel

Launched in 2018 in Florida, Brightline was designed to take cars off the road and offer millions of travelers an eco-friendly way to move between the nation’s most visited city pairs. They feature frequent, comfortable, modern trains and are the first privately-held intercity passenger railroad in the U.S. in nearly 40 years.
With their success in Florida, Brighline plans to take their approach to other regions. The first of which is a project called Brightline West, a proposed high-speed rail route between Las Vegas and Southern California. The line’s fully electric, zero emissions, 200 mph trains will transform travel in the region.
