The Rio Grande Plan is a citizen-driven proposal to improve railroad infrastructure in downtown Salt Lake City, including reestablishing the historic Rio Grande Depot as the city’s central transportation hub. Led by private citizens, the proposal has attracted the attention of local leaders, resulting in a federal grant and a city-led feasibility study.
The presentation focuses on the process of building community support and engaging with local leadership in an effort to build better public infrastructure.
